Announcing The Mara Cup Design Division!!!!

(Note: the contest is targeted towards those living in Japan [participants do not have to be
Japanese, but they must reside in Japan for any prizes, especially any oysters, as shellfish
poisoning is not an enjoyable experience!])

I wanted to get a head start and announce some cool events to everyone!
I wanted to make Mara Cup division for artists, designers, and those who are interested in
art!
The theme of the contest is: draw dota 2 heroes or items interacting with oysters in the
picture!
For example, a cute picture of Crystal Maiden looking like she just can’t wait to dig into those
oysters.
Or maybe a picture where Axe is dunking some oysters.
Maybe even a picture of a divine rapier piercing an oyster.
Anything would be fine as long as it fits the theme and is appropriate for public display.
Use your creative minds to create awesome art works!
All participants will receive oysters as a participation reward. (Japan only)
This contest will last until the 28th of January.
It begins from today!!!
Please submit the work via dotamara2@gmail.com before the deadline.
Please make sure the file formats are .PNGs or (high quality) .JPEGs.
We’ll be posting the images online and let viewers vote on their favorite work. The illustration
with the most votes will be the champion!!
The winner will receive 10 t-shirts with their design on it. If the winner willingly agrees, I
would also like to make the winning design the official Mara Cup shirt and distribute it
amongst the staff as I’ve received a lot of help.
I will only do this if the winner is okay with it!!
Seems like a lot of fun!!!! Even if there’s only one entry, I’ll definitely still do it. That single
person will win the t-shirts.
The contest is not only limited to dota players, but also those who are interested in dota. If
you know an artist, then by all means, please tell them!

We will be running the contest regardless of the number of participants.
Additional notes:
I’d like to add some general guidelines for people in terms of file size and information for the
WeLoveFine / Valve Workshop submissions.
Try to keep images to 15 x 19 inches (4500 x 5700 pixels)
Keep images inside of the images.
If you are going to submit a PSD, it must be 300 DPI and up. You can also submit a vector
.AI file.
The colour mode should be CMYK. (The image will change colours when printing. Please
note that you should not submit PNGs or JPEGs in CMYK, keep those in RGB because
CMYK is meant for printing only whereas RGB is meant for web and digital displays.)
You do not have to draw digitally. You may also draw traditionally. You must also submit all
files as a PNG, JPEG, or GIF to the contest.
Please do not delete any data of 300DPI, and keep it in case we need it.

☆Contest submissions should be submitted in PNG, JPEG, or GIF format.

☆Any files for printing should be 300DPI and up, PSD or vector AI, and 4500 x 5700 pixels.

I believe that following these guidelines will result in a beautiful t-shirt!!
You don’t have to follow the guidelines but please try your best. Your submission will be
accepted regardless. Thanks for your understanding!
